Travel Grants

The Urban Wildlife Working Group is pleased to offer grants to help offset registration and travel costs for the 2027 International Urban Wildlife Conference, to be held in Milwaukee, WI, June 6-9, 2027. Funding is available for a limited number of students, early career professionals, and international participants.

We will award 10 grants, each valued at $750, based on merit and demonstrated financial need.  Priority consideration will be given to applicants who meet one or more of the following criteria: (1) individuals presenting at the conference, (2) applicants with financial need, (3) current members of the UWWG or TWS, and (4) those whose career goals align closely with the conference’s focus on urban ecology and the management of urban ecosystems.

Applications are due by October 1, 2026 and awardees will be notified by early November 2026. Award funds will be electronic transfer.  Recipients of the grant must attend the conference or forfeit the grant money.  If you have any questions about travel grants, please email Jessica Alderson at Jessica.Alderson@tpwd.texas.gov with “2027 IUWC Travel Grant” in the subject line.
